New Zealand Steel Makes Life Or Death Difference

New Zealand Steel has donated $25,000 to the Auckland Rescue Helicopter Trust.
The donation is part of New Zealand Steel's annual Health and Safety Awards, and formally recognises two safety milestones at New Zealand Steel:
- 12 months Lost Time Injury Free, and
- over 40% reduction in Medically Treated Injuries in the past year.
"New Zealand Steel has a long association with the Auckland Rescue Helicopter Trust, and we have established a tradition of recognising significant safety milestones with a donation to the Trust on behalf of our employees," said Ross Murray, President New Zealand Steel.
"The Franklin district regularly calls on the services of the Trust for a wide range of emergencies. Many people at New Zealand Steel will know someone who has been helped by this service - often in life-saving situations."
New Zealand Steel's donation will fund five rescue missions.
