The health and safety of our employees and contractors is our primary concern. Our safety approach is based on mutual Care and Respect, and geared towards helping us achieve our goal of Zero Harm.
New Zealand Steel has demonstrated its commitment to the environment by implementing
a formal Environmental Management System, providing a structured process to monitor and
improve its environmental performance.
Our community is our home. We take pride in being an open, supportive and responsible member of the community in which we operate.
New Zealand Steel has operated its own solid waste landfill since 1991 without any negative impacts on its environment.
