From Central Auckland

Use the on-ramp from Hobson Street / Grafton Road / Stanley Street / Symonds Street or Khyber Pass to join the Southern Motorway. Travel south along the Motorway for approximately 35 kilometres and look for the Pukekohe/Drury exit. The previous two exits are to Takanini and Papakura (and access to a Service Centre). Just after the Papakura exit, you may observe the large Wrightson Bloodstock Sales facility on your right. Take the Pukekohe/Drury exit.

From the Airport

Upon leaving the terminal area, follow the City signs to the traffic lights. At this intersection, take the road (Tom Pearce Drive) to Manukau City (if coming from the International terminal this will be straight ahead, from the Domestic terminals turn right). This route passes through two small roundabouts in the airport precincts. Approximately 3km after leaving the airport, it intersects with Route 20 (a dual carriageway). Go right at this intersection. Stay in the right-most lane and then merge right onto the motorway.

Follow Route 20 [aka South West Motorway] until it joins the Southern Motorway (Route 1) southbound. Route 20 narrows to a single on-ramp at this point. Travel south along the Southern Motorway and look for the Pukekohe/Drury exit (15 km). The previous two exits are to Takanini and Papakura (and access to a Service Centre). Just after the Papakura exit, you may observe the large Wrightson Bloodstock Sales facility on your right. Take the Pukekohe/Drury exit.

From the Pukekohe/Drury Exit

Turn right towards Pukekohe and Waiuku and travel 7.5 km. As you pass the Pukekohe Golf Club on your right and a Caltex Service Station on your left, you will see that the main road ahead bends left to Pukekohe. Take the right hand lane for the turn-off to Waiuku and the Steel Mill.

Follow this road for approximately 12 km and pass through Glenbrook (you will see a hall and tennis courts on the left). The next main turn to the right (1.5 km) is signposted and takes you directly to the Steel Mill (3 km). The total distance from both Central Auckland and the Airport is ~50 km and normally takes about 45-50 minutes.
